Your Te Whare-iti will be ‘made up’ from one or more of the modules that have been designed and fine-tuned over two years of development from engineers and architects.
Each module is perfectly resolved for its function – the clever bit is when they are put together with other module and form a seamless house.
It is as easy to assemble the modules on your site as it is to disassemble them in future, if you wish to recover your investment by onselling your Te Whare-iti in a secondary market.
Service module
The basic building block of your Te Whare-iti is the service module. It contains the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.
Multi-use module
The multi-use module is your living space, which can double as guest accommodation or home office.
Porch module
When the porch module is attached to the multi-use module, it can become your ‘front’ door, with its sheltered entrance.
Bedroom modules
One of the many features of the smart design of Te Whare-iti is the ability to expand your house by adding bedrooms using a dividing hallway wall (as shown in the small bedroom module).

Link modules
The smallest modules in your Te Whare-iti offer the greatest flexibility. We use link modules to expand the building in any direction and to fit unusually shaped sites.
Sun-space modules
Last, but certainly not least, we can add a sun-space module to the long side of your Te Whare-iti, to take advantage of the sun and views. The sun-space module can be your entrance-way, and an additional dining or sitting space. If it faces north, you can ask about the additional design option of having a passive solar-heated floor, using thermal mass blocks.
